Excellent Customer service

John of Car Toys Fort Collins Colorado gave me excellent customer service. I called him with an issue with my Car Toys installed stereo. In fact I called him about 10 times with questions and with his patience and perseverance, he was able to trouble shoot my issue over the phone. Excellent. Give that man a raise. Sincerely, JAC I cannot believe that I have to leave at least 100 words in this detailed section. John did a great job. He was very patient and very willing to help. And he did it over the phone lines. I am at least 2 hours away by car and he really saved my tail end. Thanks John.

I went to car toys at 2 Denver locations to review and purchase a backup camera for my wife's truck. I got a card with exact model numbers of equipment I wanted to give to her for Xmas. She went to car toys on Mississippi, they said they do not have that model, or screen and she would need to upgrade to a new Mirror screen or new center console screen with new infotament center to make things work at an additional $300.00. She had a poor experience and I will never go back to Car toys. Luckily she did not fall for this tactic.

Not only did they put fees on our installation without being able to explain purpose (they took them off after I wouldn’t continue transaction). I also question advertising: free installation PLUS free back up camera, but was told free camera not included with free install as he stood in front of advertising stating clearly free install PLUS free camera! Didn’t want camera, but indicative of unethical service! Won’t go back EVER. Total schusters!

Commercials deceptive

Your commercials indicate that if you buy a radio or any product from car toys that it will be installed free of charge but that's not the case I went to a car toys in North Richland Hills Texas by the Northeast Mall I was told that they charge $50 to install the radio they said it's been their policy for 2 years now it seems like the only radios that you'll install free or ones that are high-priced 2 or $300 or more I was interested in a lower model radio under $100 I was shown one that was $69 but was told that it would be $50 to install that's not free installation when I told them that at the store at that's when they said that they no longer do free installation what I said that their commercials indicate that there's free installation he said you have to listen at the end for the disclaimer I've listened to several commercial since then and have never heard any disclaimer or anything that indicates that you don't give free installations for anything you purchase at your stores so to me it's false advertising

We have bought a Groupon for my Wifes Car Detailing. We dropped the car at your Store located at 12636 Totem Lake Blvd., Kirkland, WA 98034 around 10:00 am on Sunday.

We were told it will be done by 5:00 pm. We never had a call from your store at 5:00 pm. When we called at 5:00 pm, we were told the car was not ready yet. We received a call at 7:55 pm saying the car is ready but you are closing.

We could not fly to your shop and pick up the car in 2 minutes by 8:00 pm. So we had arranged for a rental car so my wife can go to work the next day. On Monday, we got to your store around 6:00 pm and received the car. To our surprise and disappointment, the car was the almost the same way we dropped it at your shop of cleaning.

We brought this to your attention and you declined to talk to us. See attached photos after the detailing. We believe this is a scam and we are confident that other people had the same experience. We are sending a copy of this complaint to Groupon as well.

We would like to get our money back in addition to the cost of one day car rental ($65). Otherwise, we will file a formal complaint with WA State Consumer Affairs and other proper agencies. A copy of your invoice is attached.

I took my Toyota 4 Runner to Car Toys in Everett and they had the vehicle for 5 hours. They done a once over lightly job and left residue on the dash.

They hardly touched the carpets. The cargo area had some stains that they didn't even attempt to remove. I ended up taking them out myself with carpet cleaner. They left a powder residue along the edges of the carpets.

I would not recommend this service, I called and spoke to the manger Raul and he seemed that he didn't even care..... take my advise and don't take your care here for cleaning

BAD POOR Customer Service

They cannot fix my door lock with the remote control and told me to go to the mechanical shop and I brought my car back to my dealership and they said my door locks are fine, so they call car toys to fix for me. When I asked about the labor fee, the employees told me the different price, one told me is $50; the other one told me at least $20, the manager told me is $70.

and the store manager told me to leave my car with them and walk home with a very bad attitude. This is Not an honest business and poor bad customer service.

I really Dont want to stay with business with the car toys. As a customer, I dont need to bed treated as a bad attitude.

Sold necessary items and immature store manager

Installation was great, however they missed something so I have to go back. They were nice and accommodating for the minor adjustment. My frustration comes from the sales-person and more importantly the story manager of that particular day. I got a new stereo with two new speakers. I told the rep I was looking for something with a read camera and Apple Play. I honestly believe he sold me what I was looking for. However, he insisted the camera that came with the stereo was bad because it was not adjustable and I should be an Voxx ACA800. As it turns out, by adjustable he meant the angle of the camera itself. What he didn't mention was the stereo had adjustable guild-lines and the Voxx ACA800 did not and the Voxx's lines were permanent. That may not sound like and issue but the camera is over to the right just enough to make the lines off by approximately 1.5 feet, which mean I am getting really really close to cars as I am backing up. I don't know if they make a commission or bonus but the Voxx camera was a complete waste. You do not need to adjust the camera if you can adjust the lines on the screen. When I called the manager to explain this and has for some resolution I said, "you sold me a superfluous camera". He immediately interrupted me and said that he didn't sell me the camera. I asked him to not interrupt me so I could finish my question but I could finish that statement because he interrupted me again and said, "I didn't sell you the camera". I finally said that is the correct use of the word because you represent Car Toys at this moment and he said I insulted him and hung up on me. I called back and he hung up on me again. Not only did I get sold something I didn't need but I was working with an overly sensitive manager. It isn't worth it. go somewhere else.

Totally unsatisfactory

I wanted a mounting kit for a 1din radio. My vehicle is totally not standard and out of print. They woudn't help me without a a brand, model.. etc.... I asked the stoner to come out and look. (15 minutes) He did and muttered something, then disappeared. He came back and said his supervisor told him to tell me they can't help me. "Please let me look at what you have, and I'll deal with any issues, myself" another 15 minutes. He came back with a bag. I looked and said OK. He then handed the bag to another stoner who went into an office with it, and someone else eventually returned with keys to the register. By this time, I'm into the purchase about 50 minutes and asked why the store system was overly complicated. Then they got testy. I told them I wasn't criticizing them, but store policy, which they didn't have any control over. The managers would not come talk to me. I left without buying anything. I'll never go back

My wife and I went into the Car Toys in Denton Tx to see about having a stereo and speakers installed in a '65 mustang. Wow! Was I ever in the wrong place. They had associates in there that totally ignored that we were even in the store. We waited for a few minutes only because I had questions I needed answers to. We gave up and walked out the door without a word from them. I don't know if they even knew we were there. Needless to say, my wife and I did a bang up job on the install ourselves. Who needs that store anyway.

Sorry for your bad experience, but couldn't help but comment on the car...my favorite! My mother had a 65 red hardtop with black interior.

I loved that car, until she broke down one hot summer day on a steep hill.

Sadest walk back to civilization I can remember. Good luck to you!

We had a scheduled install at noon and told it would be ready at 3 so we dropped it off. Came back at 3 and they had not started yet. They did not call and no apology. Said they would get to it in the next hour and have it done by 4 or so. 6:45 and still no call so we called them. They just started on it and would done the next day....oh *** no. Maybe come back by 11pm. Not any better with kids and dogs at home and a 30 min drive each way. Promised done at 9pm. We shall see. Day water and no communication.

Rip offs

I was looking for a harness for a 1995 ford explorer due to the fact it had a factory amp you had to bypass to get sound. So when i cakmed to see if they had a harness they said yes we have one bbq i informed them i would be there later to buy it. So upon arrival tomd them i was th. One that called for harness i asked the man 3 times if he was sure this was the one and he said yes. So when i got home to install i had to cut the harness so after i cut it i discovered it was the wring one. Still had reciept and everything. They tomd me that couldnt refund or exchange the partt after i cut it when theybsaid it was 3 times i asked . They pay off off spend more money whe rhey said it was right one 3 times
