Cr Toys: The Worst Place to Go!

1st experience: Tigard store installed a Pioneer GPS in friends car. Looked/worked flawlessly 2nd experience: Tigard store installed alarm in my car. I specified with the installer what was to be installed where. "No problem". Fortunately I decided to stop by and see how install was going. The installer was about to drill a hole through my center console which I specifically told him NOT to do. I reminded him where we discussed placement if components. Came back. Nope. Didn't install components in proper place/manner. I decided it would less costly to fix at home. Arrived home, set the alarm and it went off. Disarmed then rearmed it, went inside and it went off again. Couldn't leave system armed that night. Next day had the shop reprog. the alarm correctly. Got home, armed alarm and nothing would set it off other than opening a door. Took car to different shop and had alarm reprog. correctly(really) and no further problems. 3rd experience: Had alarm installed in truck. Same problems all around plus my left power window no longer worked properly. Manager told me there was nothing they were going to do about it.. I ended up reprog. the alarm myself. Tried the Beaverton store on my next adventure (I thought; new store different installers. I snuck peeks at installs and they looked good) GPS/HD Radio insatall. Total night mare! After many days of dropping vehicle off/picking vehicle up, not only did I have to fix their shoddy install (confirmed by dealer and 2 other installation shops. One being another Car Toys!!!!) +/- $2000.00( yes two thousand dollars!!!!) worth of damages done to vehicle while in their possession and counting. Management refused to address situation ("we're too busy with other customers") for weeks until I called corporate. Then a few more weeks went buy ("just too busy too deal with your situation"). I called corporate again. Now they are willing to waive installation fees(how generous) but refuse to compensate for damages. Can you say" $4-5K lawsuit"?? Go ahead, I bet you can! I'll leave an update as to the total amount awarded me.

ya im pretty sure i got *** over the most by car toys, 1st time i bought an amp and had it installed everything was ok that time, second time i went in to get an alarm system installed, after they finished it i had them show me how to use it properly and if i need to reset the alarm if it got set off, so he was showing me the sensitivity of my alarm system, and while showing me that he hit my car to make the alarm go off, but what do u know it it wouldn't even go off, so he changed the sensitivity, everything was cool until the next day when i noticed where he hit my car there was a fist shaped dent where he hit it,called back they got it fixed free of charge, wasn't to worried about that

next time i go in. i went in to have my amp sent back to get checked out cause it had warranty on it, the guy at the counter told me they were going to have to charge me to take out my amp, because they put it behind my 6x9 in the back seat nut they put it there in the first place without asking me, so after arguing with them for 10 minuets almost having to yell at them to do it for free, because they tell u install is free, then the manager finally comes up tell them to do it for free after having to yell at someone after i bought there product and put money in there pocket, they finally did it for free. but wait there's more

OK so i went here recently to upgrade to a bigger and stronger amplifier. and if any one reading this know anything about sub woofers i have 2 12'kicker solo barracks, these subs are very high end subs, any ways i get it installed. the guy who installed my amp told me after he installed it that dont turn it up too loud because it will making a popping noise, my subs never made these noises before this day, then my sound system didn't even bump any louder then it used to, and now my sub woofer is blown completely and before it started making popping noises really bad i turned the gain down on the amp to less then half, and it finally blew all the way last night, another thing ot add to this is when the guy installed me new wiring for my amp he told me he had to take out my driver seat and the next day after i had it installed i noticed a part of the plastic on my seat was cracked in half, i took it back the next day to tell them and have it get fixed, the manager told me they didn't do that because they didn't have to even take out the front seat which they didn't have to but then why would the installer tell e he took it out and now its broke. pretty much ive been screwed over by them so many times and they dont ever do anything about it

I have got about the same problem! Car-toys install my gps, dvd, blue tooth (all in one)in dash to replase my original stereo. They broke a lot of plastic and holder for the stereo not just nisly cut, but rip it! They never ask my permission to do that. When I came to disscus my problem the told me to come back in another day, so I go there tomorrow and will talk to manager.
